SERVICE QUALITY REFERENCES

The current configuration of transport systems has converted ports into modal interconnection nodes and logistics platforms with an important role in the articulation of transport chains.

The contribution of ports to the competitiveness of their customers by providing efficient services that respond to the needs of maritime transport, land distribution, and logistics services, must be understood as a structure of processes and in terms of a port and logistics community.

The various members of the port community must work together with other actors in the transport and logistics chains, to improve processes and achieve an integrated efficient offer in terms of the services carried out.

For this reason, cooperation is a fundamental instrument. This cooperation cannot be achieved without voluntary action, so that recognition schemes have to play an important role in motivating participation for joint improvement.
